School Partnerships
Partnering with schools, builds studentβs social awareness & empathy towards those in need
School Program
Our Schools Program is a powerful way to engage the next generation in meaningful, hands-on learning that goes beyond the classroom. By partnering with schools, we create opportunities for students to actively participate in community serviceβhelping to build empathy, social awareness, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Through this program, 6-8 students can contribute directly to our mission by cooking, preparing snack packs, collecting essential items, writing heartfelt messages, or participating in kindness campaigns. Each activity is age-appropriate and designed to foster a strong sense of purpose, compassion, and responsibility.
Teachers and school leaders love this initiative because it aligns beautifully with social-emotional learning outcomes and citizenship education. Students gain valuable insight into the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals and familiesβsuch as those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or financial hardshipβand begin to see the difference they can make through small acts of kindness.
Itβs more than a volunteer opportunityβitβs a chance for students to become active, informed citizens who lead with empathy and kindness. The impact is twofold: while students grow personally and socially, their contributions bring real support and comfort to those in crisis.
To assist our charity cover costs we ask each school to participate in food drives and fundraising opportunities
Together, weβre shaping a future generation of thoughtful, caring changemakersβone school, one act of kindness, one child at a time.
Kids Helping Kids
Our Kids Helping Kids initiative is a powerful and inspiring program ran through our Schools Program where young people take the lead in making a difference for their peers. Through this initiative, children and youth come together to assemble and donate snack packs for other children facing hardshipβwhether due to food insecurity, displacement, or crisis at home.
The program not only provides essential, ready-to-eat snacks, but also delivers a message of care, solidarity, and kindness from one child to another. Each pack is filled not just with food, but with hope and encouragementβoften including hand-drawn notes or decorated bags created by the young volunteers.
By participating, children learn empathy, community responsibility, and the power of giving back. Schools, are actively involved, making this a grassroots, community-driven effort that nurtures both those who give and those who receive. Itβs a beautiful example of peer-to-peer support, where kindness truly knows no age.
Together, these small acts of kindness ripple outward, helping to build a more compassionate and connected communityβone snack pack at a time

Testimonial
βAs a student at Rossbourne I have really enjoyed our partnership with Itβs the Little Things Community. Cooking meals for people in the community so they have a healthy meal to eat for dinner made me feel really happy that Iβm helping others in need. I have loved meeting the other volunteers and working as a team and giving back to the community.β
